Dear folks,
If what Mr. Davis is saying is true, then the time to approach this issue
would be now, before the issue becomes too heated, and while these things
are being considered preliminarily. Perhaps a positive and supportive
letter forwarded to Mr. Trump, respectfully requesting him to conserve the
declared areas as much as possible, might be appropriate and well considered
at this time. Perhaps the ISRS and other concerned environmental
organizations would be the appropriate ones to draft, vet, and forward such
a letter.
Cheers,
Paul

Subject: [Coral-List] MPA News article on Trump and MPAs
Hi everyone,
An article in the current issue of MPA News explores whether the election of
Donald Trump could bring a rollback of large MPAs that were designated or
expanded by President Obama under the Antiquities Act. The three MPAs in
question all have coral habitat. The article is at

This issue of MPA News also has an article on building a network of MPAs and
management on Western Danajon Bank in the Philippines.
