Republic of the Marshall Islands Environmental
Protection Authority (RMI EPA) is now accepting
applications for the following position(s):

POSITION TITLE:   Conservation Officer  

Must be able to speak Marshallese and English

SALARY LEVEL  :   Equivalent to PSC Level 7/1-3 or
$18,000 to $20,000 per annum
			
DIVISION	   :   Conservation Research/Liaison Officer

LOCATION           :   Majuro, Marshall Islands	
		   	 
Major Duties/Responsibilities: include all matters
regarding conservation as well as other related areas
in the RMI EPA.  These include but are not limited to:
•	Monitoring of existing national conservation
projects (i.e., the Jesuit Atoll Conservation Areas
Project) and help in developing new ones;
•	Raising public awareness in conservation and other
related areas;
•	Developing proposals and assist in the preparation
of financial reports to donor countries for  
conservation projects;
•	Collaborating with the Ministry of Resources and
Development in implementing the National Strategic and
Action Plan;
•	Representing the RMI EPA in regional and
international workshops or conventions relating to
conservation and related areas;
•	Reviewing US Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) projects
and draft concurrence letters in consultation with the
Historical Preservation Office; and
•	Performing other duties and tasks as may be
required.

Qualification Requirements:
•	University/College graduate with a Bachelor in
Environmental Science, or a related field with a
minimum of two years practical experience in the
biodiversity conservation area, preferably coral reefs
and marine biology
•	Have self-confidence to interact with diverse groups
of people within and outside the community, including
local governments and landowners. 
•	Able to speak, read and write fluently in English
and Marshallese.
•	Team Player.
•	Able to contribute to the success of the
organiztion.
