DNA extraction from Corals

Dear Coral-listers:
I have been trying unsuccessfully to obtain non-degraded DNA from corals (both live and frozen samples). Although the different techniques I have tried work wonders for the extraction of Symbiodinium DNA, I have had no luck with the host. 
Can anyone suggest a good technique to extract coral DNA from the colony that will not degrade it?
