The SMITHSONIAN TROPICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE (STRI) invites
applications for two research scientists.  STRI is particularly interested in
a zoologist investigating the ecology, evolution, behavior or physiology of
tropical TERRESTRIAL VERTEBRATES; and in a biologist interested in
similar disciplines of tropical MARINE ORGANISMS.  Based in the Republic
of Panama, the STRI provides unique opportunities and support for field
and laboratory research in the tropics.  Beginning salaries will be in the
$36 - $52,000 range; excellent benefits and research support plus other
special allowances may apply.  STRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer
and these positions are open to scientists of any nationality. Applicants
